Day 2 – Makgadigadi Pans Depart after a very early breakfast Hold on as we weave our way through the magnificent Makgadigadi pans. Kubu Island – Like a lost planet, the rocky outcrop rise from the distance, a lost eden with giants guarding it for centuries. This will be our rest place for the night.Deep sand tracks - Salt pan driving – very dangerous
Camp Kubu Island - No facilities - Open pit toilets (Beautiful view)
Day 3 - Maun With a cup of coffee in the hand we greet the sun, one of my best sunrises in Africa. After breakfast we head towards Ntwetwe Pan and the Makgadigadi National park. Left on the main road and Maun awaits a dirty body. As you wash the dust off, images of a forgotten world flash in your mind and you feel that you are alive. Salt pan driving. Deep sand tracks. Moderate driving Camp in Maun
Day 4 – Okavango Delta Okavango Delta Makoro experience – We set out on makoros, hollowed out tree stumps now becomes your mode of travel. Silently we glide through the water ways, somewhere in the distance the cry of a fish eagle. On a remote island we set up camp. Afternoon gamewalk on the island, and who know, perhaps we spot that ever elusive Okovango leopards. Tonight we sleep under the stars Catered Camping
Day 5 - Return to the base camp After a good cup of coffee we set out for another walk, following game trails, looking out for that elephants, always hiding behind the next palm tree. Then back to camp for a hot breakfast over the camp fire. Silence fills the air as we pack up camp, but its not over yet, back to the makoro station your poler steer his makoro through the water of the mighty Kavango River. Camp Maun
Day 6 – Bushmen paintings We head west again past Lake Ngami towards the town of Shakhawe. Here we will spent the night at Tsolido hills where about 3500 San paintings are engraved through the ages on towering rocks.

Sandy roads, Deep sand tracks - Moderate driving Camping next to the Kavango river
Day 8 – The gathering of elephants After breakfast we set out in search of those giants of the Caprivi. Perhaps a few hundred elephants for tea?? After a mind blowing experience we head back to camp and as the campfire cracks under the starry sky we laugh at the stories being told of hearts pounding…
Day 9 – Botswana – Chobe National Park East towards Botswana again to the town of Kasane, a place where the hyena do window-shopping in town at night and the elephants come and inspect the locals vegetable gardens. The road takes us through the Chobe National park, and perhaps we are the lucky ones to see a pack of wild dogs doing their afternoon highway patrol. Camping Kasane, Easy driving
Day 10 - Chobe Early morning we set out for an open vehicle game drive in the Chobe National Park. After a fun filled day relax in your chair with a glass of wine on one of the sunset cruises. As the sun set over the Chobe river listen to the sounds of the wild carrying the stars into the sky. Camping Kasane
Day 11 – Mosi-o-tuna – The smoke that thunders East again – We take a drive to Zimbabwe and the mighty Victoria waterfalls, perhaps a walk over the magnificent steel bridge into Zambia. The Victoria waterfalls is more magnificent on the Zambian side than the Zim side (my opinion) Wet, wet and wet again- Rain that never stop. Then when the sun touch the earth we head back to Kasane . WORLD HERITAGE SITE Camping Kasane
Day 12 - Nata South – even though we are traveling on a national road, Mother Natures' giants are never out of sight. Look out for elephants for the next 300 kilometres. Maartins drift border post – goodbyes, but never forgotten and who knows perhaps one day we do it again.
