09.00 - Depart Saturday morning from Richards bay, heading north to the watery wonderland of Kosi Bay.
Arrive at Kosi Bay lodge – A light finger lunch will be served around the pool or on the bar deck overlooking the Kosi Bay Lake. Relax the afternoon with a cool drink in the hand and listen to a fish eagle calling in the distance.
Supper will be served at 17.00.
We set out from the shores of the 3rd lake crossing to Bhangazi beach with a sunset over the lake that is always spectacular. On the beach we meet up with one of the research team guides, we set off searching for those gentle giants of the oceans. Leather back and Logger head turtles return to this beaches every year to come and deposit their valuable eggs.
Returning to the lodge with our skipper, vivid images of mother Nature’s beauty fill our minds.
Sunday morning we sleep in a bit. After breakfast we will be departing from the lodge at about 11.00.

Land Lover Safaris Wilderness Trails - IMFOLOZI GAME RESERVE SHORT TRAIL
Departure Fridays
Duration: 2 nights 3 days Camp: Both nights are spent at a satellite camp within the iMfolozi
wilderness area. The toilet consists of a spade; toilet paper and matches and
there is a bucket shower in a tree with warm water. Bedding consists of a
mattresses and Sleeping bag in a 3mX3m dome tent.
This trail is fully catered- bedding, food, backpack and water bottle are
provided. Staff: Trails Officer; Field Ranger; Cook.
Visitors book in at Mpila Camp by 12:00.

Day 1 –
Pick up and depart from Richards Bay 10.00
12.00 We are met by the trails staff and
receive a trails briefing. The group then packs their bags and carries them
approximately 7km to the satellite camp.
There are two river crossings, shallow
water during the walk.
Coffee and tea is provided at the camp and
one is met by the fresh smell of bread as one enters the camp.
Day 2
After breakfast we set out into the
wilderness area to explore Mother Nature’s beauty and learn more about the mighty Shaka and the Zulu culture.
Distance covered during the day – Approximately
15 kilometres.
Day 3
After breakfast and the packing of our
“donkey bags” the group walks out carrying only their personal affects and
lunch. There are two river crossings, shallow water during the walk.

All trails require a minimum number of four participants to be booked on the
trail in order that the trails go out as scheduled. If only two Land Lover
Safaris clients book, another two people that have independently booked can
